Life has been shit recently. Not even going to lie. I haven't produced much art as a result, though I have been running a lot and working on the novel I started for NaNoWriMo. In any case, I will be back in Chicago in three days, and the next day is the start of the new semester. Hopefully it will be helpful to me to just bury myself in school work. Oh, AND I am switching to the writing program--it's much more aligned with what I want to do, and honestly, it's what I love more. I am tired, but I thought an update was in order for those listening. -Kristi

Hello there! So, I have a couple of tidbits to share with you, but first, to tackle the title: Today, the Senate passed the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell! For those of you who don't live in the US and/or live under a rock, that is the law banning openly gay citizens from serving in the American military. It was passed only an hour ago, and will land on Obama's desk in about a week now. He already sent an email to those on his list, promising that he would sign it promptly. This is so exciting! Guten Abend! I am an art student, and now that it is getting wintery outside (I can tell it's almost Christmas because I have to layer my gloves) we know that the semester is about to end! For those in the liberal arts life that I abandoned (if you weren't aware, I am a transfer student/liberal arts defector), that means about twenty essays. For me, that means about twenty large-scale projects. Okay, not twenty; I'm taking two art history courses, so I barely have any worries there. And the final project for my figure drawing class is done already. So that leaves two final projects. Not that I was exaggerating. Or anything. Yeah, anyways.
